25:40 Feeding Ministry

This ministry is rooted in Jesus admonition to
care for the "least of these" in Matthew 25:40.
Each month MCF volunteers prepare and
serve a meal for the homeless in Greenville. We
partner with Tom Cassell's street ministry. If you
would be interested in helping prepare food, or
serving please contact Lynn O'Connell at
lynnstegall@gmail.com.
Our upcoming dates to serve are the Tuesday evenings of June 29th and July
27th. It is a great privelege that we have to serve those around us who are in
need. If you have not been a part of this ministry, we encourage you to do so!
See our meal sign-up board outside the kitchen for food needs and Lynn
O'Connell for more details.
Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest'? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.

Prayers of the Psalms Current Teaching Series

The book of Psalms is a vast reservoir and resource on prayer. This ancient
collection of 150 songs/prayers addresses every aspect of life and faith
including the good and the bad. The collection of prayers ranges from high
praise to confession of personal and corporate sin, to cries for help and personal
direction. More than half of them are laments---complaints and cries to God.
These prayers were the hymnal and prayer book of the Early Church. Anyone
desiring direction on how, or what to pray would be well advised to dive into
the Psalms. Some of these prayers are well known (like David's great confession
in Psalm 51), but even lesser known ones teach us how to pray, praise, petition,
confess and even complain to God. Join us for this six-week series on Prayers of
the Psalms beginning Sunday, August 22nd.

9/5 A Prayer for Holiness-Ps. 4
9/12 A Prayer for Sinners -Ps. 32 & 51
9/19 The Imprecatory Prayer - Ps. 35
9/26 The Prayer of Provision - Ps. 34
Help Needed

The Sunday Hospitality Team needs cases of bottled water for Sunday
mornings. If you can help just bring a case to the kitchen next time you
are at the building for worship. Due to the amount of wasted water we
prefer the 10-12 oz. bottles. Thanks for your help!
MCF Small Groups & Ministries

Some of our weekly small groups will take a 'break' for the summer due to
travel, vacation, etc. It's a great time to refuel and use this time and energy to
replenish! Here at Mosaic, we always encourage and challenge you to invest
in, and lead, your family! We trust that together, we would steward our time
wisely this summer, and invest in our families!

As summer does approach and our travel does tend to pick up, please be
reminded that we are still just as accountable to serve, give, lead, and remain
faithful! Enjoy the refueling that God brings through vacation and time off, but
also holdfast to the commitments that you have with God! He is a holy and a
righteous God, and He is so deserving of our very best!
Golf Outing

We are in the process of planning a fall overnight Friday afternoon through
Saturday afternoon golf outing. We are considering Etowah Valley in
Hendersonville; Waynesville CC; Hickory Knob State Park in McCormick.
Possible weekend dates are 9/24-25 or 11/12-13. Please let David Cox,
or Keith Knight know if are interested in a possible outing.
The grace of God can be surprising, startling, preposterous and even
shocking. The tools and demands of God's grace often defy human
explanation, or understanding. God's grace shows up in places and people
we least expect it. The book of Jonah is a study of grace. God's grace is
demonstrated in Jonah's calling and mission, as well as the lives of the wicked
people of Nineveh. Jonah is more than a whale of a story!

Jonah's attitude and response to God's grace is selfish. God exercised grace
to a place and people Jonah believed were beyond it. God's grace toward
the people of Nineveh stands as a firm reminder that God's grace is totally at
His mercy. We're a lot like Jonah. Many of us fail to exercise toward others the
very grace to which we so desperately cling. Join us during the month of
October, as we explore God's grace in this powerful little Old Testament
Book.

Oct. 3rd The Call of Grace (Jonah 1:1-3) (Dan Carroll)
Oct. 10th The Storm: A Rejection of Grace (Jonah 1:4-16)
Oct. 17th The Fish: A Provision of Grace (Jonah 1:17-2:10)
Oct. 24th The Message of Grace (Jonah 3:1-10) (Scott White)
Oct. 31st The Lesson of Grace (Jonah 4:1-11)
Men's ESPN Game Night:

Guys, come join us Thursday September 2nd @ 7:00pm at the Carter's house!

SC DNR Youth Hunts/ATDO Ministries:

We have the opportunity again this year to serve and share through the
Youth Hunt Program! As of now, we have 18-20 hunts that we need help in
serving, sharing, and funding. This is a unique opportunity to be 'in the field'
and to take the truth of Jesus to many folks who are not plugged into a
local church! Visit www.atdoministries.com for the complete hunt schedule,
and see Dan if you can help in any way.
October Teaching Series "The Grace Project: A Study in Jonah"
MCF Fall Cookout:

On Sunday October 24th, immediately following our worship service, we will
head over to Twelve Mile Park in Clemson (where we had our baptism) for our
Fall Cookout! Please make plans to be there and fellowship with our
Mosaic family. This will be a great and relaxing time to play, rest, and
fellowship!
Student Ministry:

Join us Thursday nights 6-8 pm for teaching,
worship, and fellowship! This is a great time to
jump in our student ministry and get involved
in what God is doing! Our fall Gravity
conference is coming October 15-17th. This
will be a great time with just our group of
students and leaders. Please make plans to
be there!
Shoebox Ministry:

We will be participating again this year in the Operation Christmas Child
shoebox ministry! This is an incredible way for us to touch lives literally around
the world! Please be praying for the children who will receive these gifts, that
God would minister to them through the gifts that they will receive.
For more info on this ministry, visit www.samaritanspurse.org . Also, be
planning and preparing as a family how many boxes you would like to
provide the gifts for this year. Also remember to allot for $7 shipping per box.
