Lead Pastor/Teaching Elder, Monty Carter

Monty & Terri Carter monty@mosaic-community.org (864) 269-0390 Monty is a "second-career" minister who worked in the broadcasting field prior to answering his call to ministry in 1989.   He has served con-gregations in Kentucky, South Carolina and Florida.  He is a pastor's son who has a deep concern and passion for ministers children and the issues they face growing up. He is a graduate of Butler University, in Indianapolis, Indiana, and Southern Seminary located in his birthplace of Louisville, Kentucky.  He met his wife Teri, the summer of their freshman year in college.  They have been married for 22 years and have two children.  They enjoy reading, playing board/card games and traveling with their family, shopping together and touring new home sites as well as looking at old homes.Monty is also deeply committed to improving his fledgling and struggling golf game. Regarding Mosaic he says, "I believe God has brought a very special group of Christ followers together to begin Mosaic.  We have a group of people who are deeply committed to rediscovering what the church is really supposed to be about----forgiveness, unity, peace,love, celebration, diversity, service and community.  I believe it's time to rediscover the early church of Scripture and attempt to passionately live it out in the 21st century.  That will make some people very, very uncomfortable.  It's time to join hands, be reconcilers in the world and to lighten up and laugh a little.   Mosaic is definitely a church for her time."

Minister To Families, Dan Carroll

dancarroll@mosaic-community.org   Dan is the husband of his beautiful wife, Kelly, and daddy to his 'little hero', Jake. As husband and father, Dan is learning that these are by far his most important roles in life. He has been married to Kelly, his best friend, since 1998. Together, they are fighting together as a family for their own hearts as a family, and the hearts of others. Dan is a graduate of Clemson University in Wildlife Biology. In 2001, after many years of feeling an overwhelming tug in his heart, Dan began surrendering to God's callings on his life. As the Deer Outdoor Ministries (ATDO) was birthed, and a new passion was ignited in his life. As a ministry designed to reach young people, men, and adventure seekers, God began opening opportunities to go and share the love of Christ in very unique ways. Dan has a passion for people and a desire to meet them right where they are. Relationships, authenticity, and finding purpose in life are among his deepest desires. "I believe the Lord has led us to Mosaic because of its authenticity. It is a real body of real people going through real struggles serving a very real God who understands it all." As a family, they enjoy laughing with each other, even at each other sometimes, camping, good Italian food, shopping (well, at least Kelly does), cooking, kayaking, and hanging out together. Dan loves the outdoors, JIF peanut butter, loud David Crowder music, and considers himself to be a master at 'chilling out'.

Worship Leader Angie Stowe

angiestowe@mosaic-community.org Angie has been a member of Mosaic for nearly three years and has been a critical part of our worship leadership team.  She and her husband, Dave also host a small group and she is active in the Women of Faith ministry.  She is a Pediatric RN and works for the Greenville Hospital System.  Angie often says, "Mosaic is my family, not just my spiritual family, but family."
